It's Lovely to Meet You...

My childhood was anything but traditional, born to two artists (a girl boss CEO Permanent Makeup & Paramedical Tattoo Artist and the most whimsical illustrator, graphic designer and musician, respectively). I grew up in Holliston, Massachusetts, looking up to Hannah Montana and Avril Lavigne. The foundations of my personhood lie in butterfly bushes, fairy trees, pom-poms and cheerleading bows. I was the child singing in the aisles of grocery stores, dressed in pink, and twirling through the world around me. Somehow, at the age of eight years old, I stumbled into the world of Musical Theatre. I was hooked, it stuck, and I found my first love! I've always been partial to dramatics, theatrics and spinning in the spotlight...

At 18, I moved to New York City to try and get my foot in the door in the world of Theatre, but the simple fact that the world was experiencing a global pandemic meant that live Theatre was not an option. Uninspired, downtrodden, I turned to music as an outlet, and yet, it felt like coming home. I taught myself to play on a pink parlor guitar and dabbled in electronic production, and suddenly I felt the little girl within me emerge into the sunlight. I rediscovered what it was that always made me tick.

New York City, the world of music, and the spaces I began finding myself within altered my personal life too. I knew from a young age that I was queer, but it was as if songwriting and total self-expression unlocked depths of my heart that I hadn't come to terms with. My Lesbian identity is influential in my life, my work, and the way in which I take in the world around me. Lesbians are everything to me, queerness is the basis of my adult life and experience, and the LGBTQIA+ community is home. 

I am made of rhinestones and dragonflies, moon dust and sunset colored flags. I am a dreamer to my core, a relentless optimist, a femme who uses my allure to weave the world I want to live within.
